London running

I read a number of running blogs written by people based mostly in the USA. Cos, you know, I have SO much in common with a petite blonde who can run a marathon in under 3hours 30.

They have the sun of California, or the mountain trails of Arizona and it all looks so cool I am left green with envy.  Watching the London Marathon reminds me of how amazing running in London can be too.

Last weekend I did an 11 mile run from my house, and got to run across Tooting Common, Wandsworth Common, Clapham Common and ran along the Thames through Battersea Park. The sun was shining and it was bea-u-ti-ful.

When I was training for my marathon last year, I often ran up to Hyde Park, past the Houses of Parliament past Buckingham Palace and along the Mall. The tourists are snapping photos of iconic building, and I just get to run here whenever.

Running in interesting and exotic places is great, but the home run is pretty cool too.
